About Rachael from Wilding Studio
Rachael is a graphic and website designer, illustrator and video-maker who enjoys unusual projects and starting new ventures. She loves nothing more than getting the creative juices going!
Rachael's ultimate passion lies in helping businesses unlock the magic within their business, eliminating the noise to reveal what truly sets them apart. Her creative eye, compelling vision, and talent for capturing the essence of a brand allow her to craft unique, impactful brands that evoke emotion.
She studied Interior Architecture at Oxford Brookes university, and loves how this has fed into her work on applying branding, colour psychology and the use of light in the physical space.
Simon from Wildings Studio
For Simon, life is all about creativity, adventure & variety.
He inherited an adventurous, pioneering spirit from creative ancestors in his family, studied Classics with Oriental Studies (Arabic) at the University of Oxford, and has travelled extensively across the Middle East.
In a former life, Simon was an officer cadet at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst before setting up a start-up outdoor pursuits business with Rachael, and became a winter mountain leader & rock climbing instructor.
Outside work, Simon loves paddleboarding & keeping kit through HIIT, kettlebells, hilly runs around Torquay or simply exploring Dartmoor in Devon!

Environmental
We offset our carbon by planting trees via a local Dartmoor charity to capture carbon on website design projects

Financial
We aim to use organisations which follow ethical practices wherever possible and have chosen a UK bank that is leading the way at the current time.

Materials
We use paper that is from FSC-certified stocks and recommend the same to clients, plus we recycle where possible and keep production to a minimum.
A brand and web studio in Devon
In October 2021 we became Wildings Studio (previously The Apple Yard), which reflects the places we draw inspiration from.
A wilding is a wild apple tree that grows uncultivated in the wild, whether natively or having escaped from an orchard or garden. Wildings reflects our passion for creating and launching brands and their identities in a fresh and exciting way.
We love to design and equip brands with confidence and pride, helping them attract and engage with their ideal clients.
On a personal level, as a couple and family, we are in a new season too. We relocated from Derby in the East Midlands to Torquay, Devon to be nearer to family and where Rachael has her roots.
This has meant we are much closer to nature and wild places such as Dartmoor and the stunning South Devon coastline.
We get lots of inspiration from these beautiful, rugged places, which we bring together in our work and how we approach problems.
