A rootin' tootin' inset day video for Transform Trust at Pride Park Stadium

Transform Trust CEO, Rebecca Meredith, on set at Pride Park Stadium, Derby

As a videographer working with schools and trusts in Derby and Nottingham, we love stretching ourselves on projects. The Transform Trust commissioned us to produce an exciting, compelling video for their Curriculum Inset ‘A Day of Possibilities’ - a headteachers’ day at Pride Park Stadium in Derby.

We really enjoyed taking the ‘future’ theme and applying a series of custom animations via Adobe Premiere Pro. As a little flourish too, we added an animation of the Trust’s butterfly video - look out for it below in the teaser video.

Because of safeguarding, we are unable to showcase the video in full, but the introduction contains all the elements that made it such a fun project.

As ever, the key to the video was choosing the right soundtrack that suited the mood and theme. Rachael got it spot on with another great choice from Soundstripe.

Overall, the project went really well, judging by the feedback that has filtered through.

Sadie Barker, Marketing and Communications Assistant from the Trust said:

The video had huge, huge impact and definitely added a ‘wow’ factor to the start of the day.

In fact, it was received so well that Sadie added this the other day:

Thank you for working together to create our Trust Curriculum INSET Video – this proved to be such a success that we would like to cut down and re-use the film for another purpose at Transform

CEO Rebecca Meredith said of the day:

I was delighted to see nearly 700 Transform staff come together at Derby County’s Pride Park stadium to think about how the curriculum in your schools can best prepare our children for the future. I want to thank everyone that attended for engaging with our keynote speakers, workshops facilitators and marketplace partners with such enthusiasm and interest. It was fantastic to see the range of inspirational and creative activities on offer. In this Transform Talk edition we have captured some of the special moments from the inset as well as providing you with links to the resources from the day for use in school.

We worked closely with Nottingham-based marketing consultant, Suzy Rai, who provided art direction on the video. Suzy was a joy to work with, and she left these words for us:

We commissioned Wildings Studio to create a short film as part of a whole Trust INSET day, it was an ambitious event for over 700 delegates and we wanted a powerful film to engage the audience and set the tone for the rest of the day. Rachael’s ability to capture the essence of the day was exceptional, she interpreted the brief insightfully and brought additional ideas, which resulted in an extremely professional film, which impacted the event so positively. Simon’s project management and communication skills ensured the whole project ran smoothly throughout. Working with Wildings Studio has enabled us to raise the bar in terms of our corporate communications and branding, and I wouldn’t hesitate to commission them for further projects of this nature.
